Creekside Marketing Group is a B2B Marketing Consultancy focused exclusively on small to medium sized businesses in Southern California. We believe that marketing should be practical, purpose driven and measurable. Our clients hire us to develop and execute marketing programs to support growth strategies such as new product launches, new market entries, portfolio refreshes, acquisitions and mergers. If you are looking to grow your business, let’s talk about how Creekside can help.
Much like manufacturing, marketing benefits from a continuous improvement process. At Creekside, we have over 20 years of experience developing, executing and refining marketing programs to optimize results. As with any continuous improvement plan, there need to be clear objectives and quantifiable measurements that guide the refining process. We use this continuous improvement process with all of our engagements so that you will get to your desired results more quickly, gaining valuable insights about your customers along the way.
In the planning process, we clearly outline the objectives of the project such the products involved, the target markets, communication channels, training requirements, budget and timeline. We also identify the desired results and how we will measure progress toward those results. The deliverable from the planning stage typically includes a detailed budget, marketing calendar and a set of key metrics for monitoring performance.
Once we have an approved plan, we move into execution stage. The marketing calendar from the planning phase is the key document that drives the activity at this point.
The checking process involves monitoring the results of the executed plan based on the key metrics identified in the planning stage. Typically the checking phase runs concurrently with execution. A scorecard is typically generated and reviewed at predetermined intervals to verify the project is achieving the desired results or to identify potential adjustments that need to be made.
This is often the most important part of any marketing project. The famous quote by Dwight Eisenhower, “No plan survives first contact with the enemy” is just as true with marketing as it is with war. With today’s tools and technology it is relatively easy to get good feedback quickly so that adjustments can be made to improve the end results.
We were a small, but rapidly growing company and Rich was instrumental in building infrastructure and teams to support that growth. Rich is very detail oriented, sees the big picture and is able to lead a team from conceptualization through final results. He is a strategic thinker and good planner.
